The building, formerly known as Scotia Centre, is located on the most prominent and energized corner of the downtown core, at the intersection of 8th (Stephen) Avenue and 2nd Street SW. Slate’s redevelopment efforts focused on making the property more modern, accessible and dynamic, and activating not only the surrounding area, but also the city itself. Slate has partnered with Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality and Concorde Entertainment Group to provide five innovative and inspired dining destinations at Stephen Avenue Place: the world-class Major Tom Bar on the top (40th) floor, an eclectic food hall, a high-energy restaurant, bar and patio on the street level, National, and Goro and Gun. Other tenant only amenities include a club quality fitness facility, tenant lounge, and a games room.
